Leo's Humpty/hulk

The quiet and calm of January has been unusually nice this year.

Even though we all did start the New Year off with a horrible cold+flu like thing.

So far I have been working on my second knit project (hopefully I can keep this one calmer than the last), baking bread a lot, and

had some really nice surprise visits from old friends.

The highlight of this month has been watching Leo and Gram's friendship grow. They do everything together... and Gram has started to nap less either bc Leo wakes him out of loneliness or he's growing out of them.

Leo... Is drawing non-stop, has more energy than he knows what to do with, loves preschool and friends. He is like our buddy now more than ever. he is at such a fun age... most the time :)

Ingram... Is so cute and sweet. Him and I have really been bonding a lot in the past few weeks. He LOVES books too much. That is ALL he wants to do, oh and make messes!! He hasn't started talking too much... but he knows A LOT of words when I ask, he says them. But doesn't use them voluntarily yet...He does always say hold u, book.

It feels strange, I don't have a baby anymore...

Diced 2 jalepeno's and 3 tomatoes in fresh lime juices and put on top. My mother in law's recipe.

Christmas morning.... we were in a big hurry to meet my family at church. But the boys loved their gifts and it was nearly a perfect CHristmas.

Ny EVE... This was such a great New Year's...

took the kids to the park :) Then headed up to Springdale.

Saw this documentary at the Imax... Saw a really magical firework show at the town park...

hot-tubbed, went to see this band here.... Stayed at these suites got to kiss my dreamboat boys at midnight. We had a cousin party at the hotel so we had no worries all night and got to spend it with and without kids:) All with a bunch of really wonderful family and friends.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was so fun.

We had it with my family but Sue and JD came too since their kids were doing other things.

It was a really good dinner and healthy too:)

And the cousins exchanged gifts it was fun and we skyped with J+F. Got to see Fern's belly.... Can't wait for that baby. :) It was so fun to watch the kids this year. All the cousins really had fun with each other.

Micah dressed up as Santa and came it was pretty cool bc of Leo and LUke's age... they were pretty awestruck:)

My mom too gave us all discs with our old 8mm family video on it too. That was really special to see my dad and my the rest of my family on film from way back. :)

b-day boy... It was fun to have Micah's birthday this time of year....

one of my favorites things we did this month...

Vegas overnight trip... No kids!

We stayed at Mandalay Bay and shopped til we dropped...

then went to one of our favorite Thai resturaunts in the ghetto and saw this souvenir shop... I need to get better at taking photos of us. This place was pretty sweet though.

I want this overnighter to be a tradition for us. It was the best Christmas present to each other.

Plus Anthro was having a 50% off sale, sale!! yippee it was like having the discount again... and my hub said see ya... shop and get what you want. Then came back and picked out thee best treasures for me. It was really awesome. And I was in dire need of such a thing.

Chraftmas. I swear I crafted my brains out this CHristmAs... too much!

Thompson Christmas Party

The Thompson Christmas party was fun as always.

This year the highlight was a surprise arrival of Popa JD at the end. Everyone thought Sue and JD were going to spend Christmas in Costa Rica...

a tigger... who knows all Leo asked for for CHristmas was a Tigger and a Humpty Dumpty. I know Winnie the Pooh is cheesy but I love the old movie and it's Leo's favorite. I'd rather he love that than some other non-mentionables :)

The other highlights were...

The nightgowns Sue sewed for Micah and Dusty... they were replica's of "JD's Captain" as they called it, a sweet 70's gown.

Also watching 8 mm film of Micah's family when they were little and all the delicious food of course :)

This year's presidential debates have been really fun to watch. I haven't watched quite as much as I would like, but I try to keep a fair amount informed and aware. I am happy that I like a few of the lead candidates more than I have in a while. I am a little late hopping on the RP boat, but Ron Paul has my affection and vote by a long shot. Better late than never! RON PAUL for President 2012 yippee. Check him out if you haven't :)

Everyday I feel so lucky as I drive up to our house, the views are pretty incredible. Even though we are lacking in a few other areas, outdoor entertainment and scenic beauty we are not. This little hiking/biking spot is 2 seconds from our house and always desolate... it's crazy. This may be my favorite place in St. George to live. Even though I really miss Toquerville, (which isn't even in St. George..) bc of it's quaintness, the really awesome incredible people that live out there and it being a bit more interesting for me than St. G. I have to say, I do love Ivins. The steadiness it offers is what we need for now. Pictures from the other day when I took the boys out hiking... they are the best, these little boys of mine:)

SEWING...

Back to sewing, with Pru it was always very hard bc I didn't do any of the sewing and nothing ever turned out quite how I wanted it. So I have decided that I need to start sewing and become more skilled. It has been exciting for me to sew again. It makes my heart sing :) I know that's real cheesy, but it's TRUE. It's been a few years so I am a bit rusty. But here is my first project. A playmat for my good friend Chantry's baby DOTTY... oh and a little pillow with her name stenciled. I got the playmat idea from purl bee... I hand quilted for the first time and fell in love. I probs will always go this route from here on out. I also pieced together the striped fabric bc I was using vintage fabric that needed to be pieced. Another side note... All my projects will be from fabric I have. I am really trying not to buy any sewing fabrics, notions, nothing... Our garage is filled with this stuff and I already inherited a rather large portion of another old lady fabric hoarders stash. My goal is to get the size down to something that will fit in one bag or completely deplete it which would be awesome!! I wish I had better pictures; I was anxious to give it to her...

longest road trip of my life....

We went to Denver for Thanksgiving to visit some of our friends and my sister.

It was really fun and pretty chill. We felt all grown up and independent a holiday away from both of our families..:0

Leo and his little soulmate Maddox... I would have taken him home if I could... They would play hours on end and I wouldn't hear a peep. Looks like The Millwards and us might have to take more family vacations together:)

Supposed santa visit... No such luck for us. Both boys were screaming and clinging to us with death grips. I decided after two years of pictures with Leo in pure terror I'd opt out until they were actually excited to see him. For now they are completely horrified. However, Leo did ask if at baby Jesus's birthday the guy in the red suit would be there?

He also told me he likes Halloween and not Christmas... we'll see if he still feels the same Christmas morning...

no heat waves :) yipee. I've finally found a way to kick my desire for a perm...

Ok so here is the sad story part. We left Denver at 5:00 a.m. to get home by one or two. Well we got as far as Vail and our transi started acted funny... wah wah. We we're suckers and bought a VW we should have known better. We made it Glenwood and a guy fixed it. It was slim pickings being Sunday and all.

We got to Hanskville climbing the mountainous hills again.

It got stuck in 3rd gear and we had to go 50 the rest of the way home.

oh don't worry none... 17 HRS. in the car and we arrived in St. George.

What got us through? Hunger Games.. thank-you, book on tape :)

We were so onry about it at first but then we got over it.

And just saying, our kids were exceptionally good... Maybe more road trips can be in our nearer future than I thought:)

Big Steps

Leo started preschool on Tuesday at Smarty Pants Preschool with Ms. Doree, 2 minutes from our house.

He goes 2 days a week for 2 hours, really I thought he should and would like to be going 4 days a week for 3 to 4 hrs. But when my mom picked him up he said he was ... "starving for home..." oh he knows how to pull those heart strings that little one... I wish we had more preschool options around here (Waldorf?) but oh well. It will do.

AT least it gives me a little bit of one on one with this one...

I love that baby/toddlers don't even know they are dirty if you didn't wipe their faces they would go all day with big goops of stuff all over them. hehe

Micah made Leo's costume and ledee made Gram's :) SO I was off the hook!! :) hehe Gram was the cutest b/c he surprised me by knowing exactly how the whole Halloween thing went down. It was about a year ago... When Kelly and Rod came out from SF to shoot "the Opal"

This post is very past due.... But I have a lot of catching up to get done... so we're starting here.

Here it is the house out of my dreams.

Seriously when my friend and I pulled up this wasn't for rent. It was the house next door... but I begged Sebastian to rent it to us bc I swear it truly was in a dream I had.

Whenever we would drive through Appalachia we would see tiny shacks that resembled this and I would always say that's where I want to live.

Never did I think there was something like this in So. Utah...

Yay for us.

The abundance of fruits and veggies in this area are awesome.

SOmething that is really awesome about Toquerville it is just a little colder than St George and not as cold as Cedar so it is prime growing land. It is actually a similar climate to Northern California.

I miss the area sooo much!!!

It really is a pretty incredible little place. It felt like we lived in a tiny little European village.

Looking at these pics reminds me of one of Micah and I's business ideas as of late. It is to buy really really really old houses and make them livable, but keep the integrity of the home.

Houses kind of like the opal almost too old to live in and fix them and save them. I guess the term is like upcycle. Ya we want to upcycle houses :) or good old remodeling.

I made this roasted tomato soup for dinner last night. I am trying to ease back into vegetarianism. I remember when I was before, how hard of a time I had making a whole filling dinner for me and my fam. Micah was filled up and this soup was so yummy. I also made a salad and green beans:) Thought it was a great way to use up a bunch of tomatoes and green beans both in season at our local fruit market:) . We didn't do a garden this year, but I know we are usually swimming in tomatoes around this time. recipe here. Also I think it would be really yummy to add black beans, corn and chopped kale when you add the grated onion. But that's just me, I always try to add as many veggies as I can.
p.s. I am dying over the new mini rodini... I am thinking the matching black skull/clowns for the boys!!

Update on life....

We actually moved back to St. George unexpectedly about 2 months ago.

It was kind of a bummer at first, but it felt right and just worked out. It has been really great to be back with dear family and friends!! We have been enjoying all the beauty that surrounds us here. The boys love the new house and play all day TOGETHER. Finally thinking that I wasn't out of mind with the amount of space between them:). I love these two boys, they are amazing. I feel so blessed that they are mine.

But I didn't want to pass up recording some things Leo said to me today.

I went to kiss him after story time and he said ..."no !" eek... me. first time this has ever happened "why?"
him..."I am too big for kisses." rip my heart out. Not already he's only 2!
Then I wanted to take him to the store later today and he said . " no it's ok mom . You go... Hobbie will take care of me. " what?? He said it so assured like no worries. Oh man that little guy. Maybe it's from hanging around all of his older cousins all summer however it still didn't take away the shock. He has such a big personality in so many ways, never ceasing to amaze me.

We have so much fun together just running(his favorite thing) He will always say mom I wanna run., He loves biking and hiking around the desert

He is so awesome... He is very adventurous/fearless.

He is so thoughtful and sweet too.

He always loves to help... like if I am just talking to him about something I need help with he will go up to complete strangers and be like can you help my mom?? what he is so rad!

He will go up to anyone and ask for help or he will say i can help and will do something. We were at the park and this little girl let her balloon go up in the air and Leo looked at her sad eyes and said I will get it for you! and started running with all his might. hehe He is Wonderful. I am LUCKY! i have no idea how we got so lucky to get him but I am so happy he is ours!!! Mine forever!

Real name was Ingram and we was like oh man that is so cute and it goes with James Micah's dad's first name which we really wanted to use as a middle... well however many months late I couldn't shake it and it just seemed like the right thing to do so done it was... You can still call him Gram though. hehe

springtime has been fun. We just go to parks a lot and play. I have been spending my online time here. I am addict. The boys are at the perfect age. I already got teared up last Sunday, bc on Leo's next birthday he will be 3. noooooo! I want to freeze them. It kills me that they are getting too big.

easter was happy this year...
even thought you can't tell by looking at my hideous baskets. And don't mind that Leo looks total ghetto. Um Micah put him to bed in gram's jammie top? and a diaper no worry. I had big ideas that were not executed. And every year at Easter all I want is a cute family pic and it nevEr happens. I canonly hope for next year. again.boo.
hehe, oh well. We went two egg hunts, had cousins from out of town and played all day at THE MAnsioN...
Yep, We are house sitting a mansion for a few months until we decide what to do next...
I guess we are we are transi's or something:(. Believe it or not I am feeling ready to settle serious business.
I cried when Micah told me we were gonna be living there. bc to me I thought it was toooo big.
But it has actually been so fun and I LOVE living closer to my friends :) and not in the boonies...
I miss the Opal kind of. But when we went to get all of our stuff out the other day, it gave me a headache. It was too much work living there.

Anthology magazine contacted me through a friend of a friend and wanted to shoot us and the Opal. What I nearly sh*t my pants. hehe jk. but I was soooo intimidated/ thinking they were crazy. But the photographer + stylist(who own Perish Trust in SF) were so talented they had this ole place looking pretty dank. It ended up being a really great experience. I will tell the whole story soon, but for now here the old Merc made the cover!!

we went up to Brianhead. It was such a breath of fresh air. It was soo pretty up there i love the mountain air and the big ole pine-trees . We went sledding and skiing. It was perfect no one was even there, there was really good snow and it was real warm :)
The highlight was defiantly Leo skiing. He totally took to it well and LOVED it still talks about when he went "skiing fast down the hill".

But it REALLY isn't bad for now... and is confirming my thoughts on small houses. I only miss the other half a little bit and there's less hassle....making me think how possible it could be for us to live somewhere in a small space??:)

Leo turned 2 .... oh back in November... still catching up. I love his birthday. I love that we get to celebrate him and I love that his entrance to this world was so powerful and full of meaning. He is awesome as he always says... I'm awesome... and I'm superman or super yoda or super me... He's really into being super and flying, such a daredevil!! i.e. his black eye. Favorite is climbing and jumping off stuff by hisself... He says look at my trick mom. and i'm like oh no... here we go.

Anyway his birthday party got cancelled right before because he broke out in some crazy fever and got real fussy... so i just cancelled it. Even though i had worked hard all day to make him a green cake at his request. He wanted a green party... so i made red velvet with green food coloring instead it didn't look that perty but looks don't always say it all :) So we had like three small parties for him... he's 2, it was all the same. I wanted to keep it small and simple this year anyways... I miss his locks :( boohoo.... I was proud he blew out all 2 candels all by himself...I'm so cheesy these days )

what the what? where has all the time gone??I have become THE worst blogger and everyday i just get more behind.... it's like my camera disappeared the last few months. so this my lame-o attempt to get to a point that I can feel like I am not soooo behind.

. Graham's blessing... he wore THE sweetest outfit ever with a little knitted bonnet. We had a wonderful bash with amazing friends and family. It was beautiful and sooo perfect and not one pic . I know I will never get totally over this.. HE looked soo precious.

.mom- mo- bile: it's a VW bus Micah surprised me with ...I was a little skeptical, but it's actually so practical for my life right now.

Leo (he totally stole the show and looked like a stallion with his adorable borrowed bowtie and cutest little suitcoat not to mention his slicked back rocker long locks that made him to die for)
the ceremony i was def so beat... Leo was crying for NAn to hole him and I was holding Graham praying that he wasn't gonna start on one of colick fits... while Micah was taking photos. I saw all my siblings lookin at me with pity/snickering eyes... like haha . Ya it's so funny. everywhere i went for like 3 months people were constantly like can I help you so loud with their eyes they didn't have to open their mouth... doors were constatnly opened and what else... LEO ToTally tricked me. Having him was like "ain't no thang"!! and so i was like ya another baby why not??? then Graham came and it's i couldn't get of the couch for 4 months no JOKE. But lately I have seriously been relieved they have gotten way easier.... and I wish there was like an undercover double stroller... I haven't wanted to commit to one yet.... any hints??? ANYONE?
seeing all my fam... :) i have the best bro's and sis..

.LEO's hair GOT BUZZed.... :( I'm growing it out again. But it's cute to see his face more and Micah was getting real bugged, people kept saying what a beautiful little girl we had. Plus I was having to come through big snarls everyday and felt bad for him....

. Thanksgiving.... my family: Micah deepfrying the turkey on my mom's patio got a bit hectic Bob's taken my mom's OCD level up a few notches :) hehe

I had like 10 men over at my house trying to break in then I finally called the locksmith then they finally got it open meantime I was bawling inside the house. came out with cry spots all over my face totally embarrassed... I felt so stupid and bad for the babies, I broke down... then i seriously drove to the grocery store and cried in the parking lot, bc I felt like I child abused G and LEo... :(

I am sooo behind on posting and everything else. aah. help. Lately, I have felt like the kids have been harder than ever. I am going to turn into some crazy organized mom type bc otherwise I will never be able to get everything I want to done. Right now I have like 5 unfinished craft projects around and many more that need to be started. So it's all about organizing calendars and bins right now, soon I will be THE most organized mommy blogger around.. beware. I'm coming up with this whole system that might really scare. A little snowstorm blew in a while ago and Leo and I made a snowman. It was so fun teaching him about snow and snowmen... another thing I love about livivng in Toquerville... 20 mins to Zion National Park. Holla. We went up with our neighbors.. These guys are our surrogate family. They live across the street and dreams come true... we see them everyday. leo thinks they r part of our family... :) Russ is an amazing renowned potter, his work is so incredible. and Lori.... a midwife recently turned art teacher not to mention the best cook!! she volunteered in the elementary school as an art teacher for like 2 yrs. before getting paid just because she thought it was too important.. she cool. she my muse. Everyone in town thinks the Merc is haunted haha.. and that Rubin haunts the town... So Micah was determined to spook everyone out.. He took all the kids trick or treating by his lonesome... Me and baby Graham were out for the count.. Micah is like the town favorite around here, all the kids come visit him and hangout all the time... cheers.. I'm like the beat down mom.

Halloween this year was kinda sidelined with this magazine that was coming to do a shoot at our house...

baby Graham loves to be laid on the floor or even more outside like this?? so wierd Leo never did. so Micah got called to be in boy scouts which is seriously such a dream come true for him... but I was getting so jealous bc now he gets to go camping once a month and I don't boo hoo. SO he promised one camping trip a month from now on... yesss!! lucky me. So far, so grreat! Our first trip was iffy, it had been so rainy around these parts... we are?? They are our number one right now. I guess they are blowing up right now and people are following them like "the dead". Roadies life's not bad right? tempting us real bad and giving us an itch to move to Nashville :) we wanna so bad... music capitol here we come.. but we're kinda trashy bluegrass junkies. one of our favorite memories together is some crazy bluegrass hippie festival we went to in the backwoods of Tennessee... it was so magical everyone was painted in glitter and dancing the best hippie dances. We had a butt naked guy dancing right behind us all glammed up in rainbow paint and glitter...it was so classic. It seriously was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, total backwoods so green and lush and Jon Prine was such a rad old timer rockstar. ps give them more of chance then a first listen... i heard them a few years back and dogged them fast, now I'm so hooked..

Leo made best pals with all the animals. Animals steal his heart everyday, we do the Tour de Touquerville walk and he is in love the whole time. he is so nurturing I can't even believe it. He seriously loves animals so much, doesn't get it from his moma. The petting farm, at the county fair was definitely a little piece of heaven for him. I didn't ever love animals like that... I was like check ya later to stuff like this when I was little:) hehe. please don't judge his rattails... Graham was like 3 wks old and I was so checked out. It almost put me over the edge to go to the county fair... don't worry I am the biggest RECluSe these days. I don't care none too much either because these children have my heart a flutter 24 hrs a day. I feel so lucky in love. But I am starting to get out more that Graham is almost 3 months :( so sad.... don't grow baby gum.

here is an updated picture of Baby Graham. Woa time is flying and I have so many pictures and updates that need to be put on here. He is 2 1/2 months... wipe a tear. He is the sweetest baby everrr... But has been kinda colicky and had reflux. I never believed that babies could really be colicky. I thought it was bc the mom was so nervous or something. I thought if the mom was calm and happy ur baby would be too... (don't hate me anyone)... Graham is the best treasure ever, Leo loves him and calls him Baby GUm. The other night I left them both on the bed and was feeling all nervous, came back Leo was kissing and rubbing his head. aaw. I need to catch up with it all. for now... this is it.

He is sUch a good baby. he is even more mellow than Leo was. He is a sleepy head... the other night he didn't wake up until 7 a.m. I woke up at 6 ( an hour in newborn land to myself is a LOT) hehe. jumped out of bed to get a bunch done while the babies slept :) I know it might not stick, but for now he is dream baby.... He came.

It was a pretty easy labor of only 2 hrs. and I had the most amazing doc. everrrr :) yay.

I went to the hospital and they were like you are at a 7+ to 8.

then all of a sudden they were like ok you are at a 10 time to push.

it was only 10 minutes of pushing and then he was out. I have bragging rights because I had 3 hours in the past.

I did it totally drug free... but the pushing part hurt more than words can tell... But really what can't u bear for 10 minutes? And after and I felt like I had just run to the grocery store or something.. (:

He is so precious and all my worries melted away the minute I held and bonded with him.

I even can't believe this... but I think 2 is better than 1. for me... My days are on cloud 9 or above... 24/7. I love all my boys and feel sooooooo blessed and lucky.

I cannot believe how much he has opened up my heart already.

Leo LOVES him and is so sweet to him... kisses him, helps him get dressed etc. etc not jealous at all, yet. (cross my fingers).

I can't believe how time has FLOWN... yikes. And if baby doesn't come sooner than later I'm afraid for us all. I have gotten HUGE and started getting all the when r u due comments. And not to mention the heat so is unbearable...Never again a summer baby, mark my words. I've never been this worn or tired in my life. I was with my mom the other day and saw this 80 yr old women in a muumuu wobbling and I was walking right behind, kinda mimicking... but I really didn't have to do much cause, I am her clone... my mom was laughing so hard. My feet ache constantly cause I have little feet. I just wish they would grow in pregnancy like most girls, I think it's better. Plus new shoes after. If I get Leo's clothes put in the drawers I think its a big accomplishment for the day. don't judge me. i know it's sooo pathetic... I keep sending Micah texts all day to not tell anyone how tired I am and apologizing for being such a worthless soul. So anyways, I have so many pic's I need to put up and soo many I need to take it's ridiculous... We've been on a lot of trips to live it up, before I'm on house arrest. I went to the doc the other day and he said 2 to 3 wks... He said baby is already 7 lbs. I'm going anorexic until he comes because one of my greatest fears is 9 or 10 pounds.. My neighbor across the street is a midwife, sweeter than sugar... and going to be my doula. She came over and chatted with me a few weeks back and taught me sooooooo much more about labor and birth than any doc ever has at all, it's not even comparable. It was real eye opening. I'm gonna be ready this time. She taught me about these little potions that I have been taking to get your uterus ready for labor. So I've been drinking them 3 times a day. One is red raspberry tea (which u can take all thru your pregnancy it helps a lot) and the other is t5-w drops from the nutrition store (which u can't start taking until 5 wks before your due date). I hope these little potions work. cause me scared, after Leo's famous labor. Every single nurse that would come in to help in recovery, i was... like I'm sorry I am really sore I had kinda an intense labor. Without fail every one of them had heard my story. But at least we got nothing but over the top treatment. They treated us like pure gold the whole time we were there. We'd go looking for Leo in the nursery and couldn't find him. Lo and behold they would have him at the nurses station all of them, oohing and aahing over him. Saying how they just couldn't resist holding him. He's always been such a treasure. All my friends talk about getting bad/mean nurse treatment at recovery... not me. he-he- tales from natural childbirth. until next time...

We went to Kona Hw. in April for 12 days... It was heaven. plus a great trip to take an 18 month old on:)) He was such an angel and had so much fun. I went there when I was preg with Leo so it was fun to take him when he was out of the belly too. I have been too overwhelmed to go through all the photos and edit them and pick etc etc... I decided to make it easier by starting with the underwater camera. These are from one of my favorite days...we went to the best snorkeling spot one day but got there late... so the next morning Micah and I had a feeling to go back... lucky us, we swam with about 80 dolphins. I guess it is supposed to do wonders for pregnant women and their babies... This dolphin pro hippy guy was like talking to me after telling me my baby will be a genius and soo happy, he will have heightened everything all bc we swam with soooo many dolphins. I hope this hippies right. Nevertheless, is was sooo incredible and I could never to decide to be looking up or down cause they were like jumping all around us and swimming all under us. It was surreal.

I am still not getting the nesting instinct and have been so tired this past week. oh no! Hope the sleepy doesn't stick.

With Leo it was wonderful cause I got heaps of energy for the last month or two... I'd be wide awake everyday at 5.00 a.m.. some of our neighbor's houses... these are the pretties across the street... One day Micah and I are going to take a whole day and document the randomness of this place is so out of control. It has the very best and the very well... I don't know most country... in a country grammar kind of way... if you know what i mean. It's so country. Everyone either has a playground in their yard, a junkyard, a magical forest with hidden antique treasures or farm animals. I don't quite know how to explain it. Walks with Leo are the best. The other day we found this incredible shack like house with chickens, roosters, goats, and lambs all in the wire gated front yard... It's so fun exploring with my boys out here...it's like a constant treasure hunt! I love country living... sometimes it scares me how much I like it. eek

I cannot tell you how lucky I am to be this boy's moma. but seriously he is the best, I just can't love him enough... he gives the sweetest hugs and kisses and not to mention he is a mad scientists/ genius and has the hair to prove it... 

His hair has always been an big attention grabber from the moment he came out. Micah and I just looked at each other like whaat? ... the red who knows where it crept from. The other day I was teaching him his colors and and I was showing him some things that are red and then he pulled on his hair... I love it that not a day goes by that someone doesn't comment on his hair... And now that it is getting longer it is so outta control.  I finally caved and started using hairspray and lot's of conditioner... and it's finally under control. I never thought I would be one of those mom's. But since no matter what I was doing it would always end up looking like this. I guess I am.

I absolutely love having a little boy to dress... it is so much fun and I am even more excited to dress two, since it will give me justification for buying nicer, more expensive stuff. This is my current wish list for the boys, available at this adorable store.... Sweet William.
We have been so busy with the move and the house. We love it but it is so much work. I promise to post some new pictures of Leo... He is getting so big and totally makes every one of my days. He is the best.

It's a BOY!!! and we couldn't be more thrilled. Leo will have a bruder to cause a ruckus with and we will have another little boy to love day in and day out.

Pool Tradeshow

We finally went to Pool... it felt like we were preparing forever... It was really such a great experience. I'm really glad we decided to do it. We learned a lot, and met tonz of great people... :) We debuted our spring/summer 2010 line.... which I just barely came up with the name... Of Cabbages and Kings( I got it from my literary mother, it's part of a C.S Lewis poem... supposedly a famous line).  

Another bonus was I got a girls trip with some of my best friends... I really feel so lucky to have such great friends that are always there for me in a crunch. it kinda amazes me, how they always pull through. i definitely don't deserve to have such good friends i swear... ... thanksyou thanksyou thanksyou. Plus my husband who supports me so so much. We are always using his myriad of talents to help us pull it all together... thankyou!

We're moving to Toquerville.... 25 min from st. george and 20 min to zion...

We are gonna live in a 100 yr old mercantile shop/house. It's quite the find... on 7 acres of good planting soil:) yay! with 2 giant old pecan trees and big pomegranate trees and the most precious front porch ever.... The landlord wasn't really renting it until I asked... It's straight outta my dreams. He named it the Opal.. I'm pretty excited. We are gonna have campouts in the in the backyard and garden/veggie parties. It's really cool, but definitely eccentric and old etc... so Im a little nervous about decorating... but I will probably have an easier time with this house than mine now cause it's so old and rickety. these pic's by William Gedney kinda remind me of the life that would be lived in a house like this. I can't believe we found it here. I always imagined we would find something like this in Tennessee... not only 20 min away... yay. come visit please!!! and if I have my way we will have chickens in no time:) I will post pic's soon. I think I will take before and after's because there is a lot of work to be done. I know it's not most people's dream to live somewhere like this... but it is mine. when we took my mom there last week she almost made me cry cause she was hating on it so bad. we move in in like 2-3 wks. holla.

He gave me the dreamiest childhood/life and was just the very best man. took me on so many adventures, understood me and taught me to reach for so much more in life.

I took these pictures a while back to look at whenever I get baby hungry. Seriously my pregnancies are a breeze after the first trimester. But that first trimester is a living nightmare(poor Micah actually poor anyone who had to be around). For sure something possesses me and I am 100% a diff person. I have no clue what I was doing those first months or who was inside me-but it's not me... I promise. Don't judge the shambles...

Our sad little haggard tree. It was a hand me down, but we loved it. My decorating definitely struggles. I made the little garland out of sweaters... it's a real cute idea I got from Leedee. I'm going to make more for next years tree and they will be better colors and such. don't judge my house is in such shambles these days.

Leo's Santa visit this year. he was going through some serious separation anxiety so I knew there wasn't much hope. It was classic. It didn't last too long and he's past that phase now. Thank goodness.

we went to Vegas for a work conf. for Micah. We brought my mom to be our "nanny"... It was nice bc then I could do some shopping and we could go out at nights kid free! I am seriously considering hiring a real nanny..;) We took Leo to Shark Reef. He was in heaven.

yay. we got the best pic's of our new baby. we never got good ones of Leo, so we were excited about seeing this one so well. It was kinda funny at the appt. b/c suddenly me, Micah and the Doc were all referring to it as a he/him... so I guess we'll see. It's always a 50/50 they say. So far it looks mostly like an alien..
